Inner Mongolia Normal University (formerly Inner Mongolia Normal College) is the earliest higher education institution established by the Party and the State in the frontier ethnic areas after the founding of New China, the key university of the autonomous region, the institution supported by the National Plan for Revitalization of Higher Education in Central and Western China and the Ministry of Education's Plan to Support Higher Education Institutions in Western Regions.
