Ningbo University of Finance and Economics is located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, which is a famous national historical and cultural city and a modern international port city. It is a local application-oriented undergraduate university that focuses on economics and management disciplines and develops harmoniously in economy, management, engineering, arts and other disciplines. The school was founded in 2001, and was approved as an ordinary undergraduate university in 2008. In 2015, it became the first batch of pilot demonstration universities for application-oriented undergraduate construction in Zhejiang Province. In 2018, its original name was changed from "Ningbo Dahongying College" to "Ningbo University of Finance and Economics". The school has three campuses, including the headquarters campus, Hangzhou Bay campus and Xiangshan campus, covering an area of more than 1,700 mu and a building area of 780,000 square meters.
